The Skip Viragh Outpatient Cancer Building, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Baltimore, MD.
Baltimore architects WilmotSanz and Ayers Saint Gross designed this cancer patient care building with Taktl Ultra High Performance Concrete Panels and glass. Knight Wall Systems MFI system inconspicuously provides the engineered, high performance thermally isolated bracket and rail attachment system to enable this structure to attain high thermal performance values while achieving the beauty intended with the cladding choice.
This project utilized a double framed system with 4″, 3″ and 2″ Thermabracket S and black Panel Rails in vertical and horizontal configurations to accommodate various Taktl panel layouts throughout the facade.
What’s behind the cladding is critical and requires special attention during design to meet project goals.
