Working on a LEED V4 BD+C Healthcare and Schools Project? (6/9/2020)

The Low Emitting Material credit includes your exterior applied products, such as waterproofing membranes.  Some asphalt-based materials are prohibited and do not count toward total percentage compliance of this credit, but, not all asphalt-based products are the same!

A recent addendum published by USGBC #1000022500 provides a revised definition of the excluded products, which includes oxidized asphalt.   American Hydrotech’s Monolithic Membrane 6125 (MM6125) is not manufactured with oxidized asphalt and therefore meets LEED v4 requirements and is not restricted form use on such projects.
