Sika Hydrotech MM6125 based Protected Membrane Roofing Assemblies provide a variety of significant long term performance advantages that lead directly to roofing system longevity and, ultimately, reduced costs and headaches to the building owner. Amongst those advantages are:
- The use of insulation that is highly resistant to water and physical abuse.
- Placement of the MM6125 waterproofing membrane directly on the deck and below the insulation, removing it from exposure to UV, general weathering and physical abuse.
- Full adhesion of the MM6125 membrane to the structural deck, limiting the opportunity for lateral water movement under the membrane and over the deck.
- No seams in the waterproofing membrane. None.
MM6125 can be installed in dead level applications. The membrane can withstand and perform in submersed water conditions and is fully warrantable, making MM6125 the perfect membrane for no slope decks, water features, pools and vegetated roofs.
The assembly is open, allowing continuous drying. Conventional roofs entrap moisture, which leads directly to failure.
With the membrane placed on the deck it becomes permanent. You can change the configuration of what is above the membrane without the need to replace the membrane or bother it. For instance, change it from a ballasted PMR to an amenity space or vegetated roof assembly by changing the overburden components, not the entire assembly.
