Hydrotech® Gardendrain® is at the Heart of the Garden Roof® Assembly (5-1-2025)
This component is specifically designed to act as a drainage, aeration, and water retention element. Gardendrain is made of recycled polyethylene molded into a three-dimensional panel. The unique design provides retention cups on the top side, drainage channels on the top and bottom, and holes in the tops of the domes for aeration, promoting upward moisture movement.
Hydrotech offers four types of Gardendrain:
• Gardendrain GR10 (for extensive assemblies)
• Gardendrain GR25 (for extensive, lawn and thinner intensive assemblies)
• Gardendrain GR30 (for extensive, lawn and thinner intensive assemblies)
• Gardendrain GR50 (for intensive assemblies)
Hydrotech® LiteTop® Aggregate can used to fill the cups of Gardendrain GR30 and GR50. The lightweight aggregate helps to enhance available water holding capacity for plant root systems and increase compressive strength of the Gardendrain component.
