The Roberts Center for Pediatric Research at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is certified LEED Gold by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). Sustainable features include stormwater management throughout the site, including a landscaped public plaza featuring waterproofing and vegetated roof assembly by American Hydrotech which provides a place for respite for CHOP employees as well as community members.

THOMCO and American Hydrotech worked closely with architect, Ballinger, on the complicated waterproofing, detailing and associated vegetated roof assemblies on the plaza levels and exterior stairs. MM6125(R) hot fluid applied rubberized asphalt and the expertise of American Hydrotech and their representatives is uniquely suited to solving these difficult design problems.
