You’ve got a problem.

Somewhere on your project concrete will be poured. And something is likely going to be stuck to that concrete or placed over it (flooring, coatings, sealers, roofing, waterproofing, etc.). Every one of those something’s has a problem with the moisture in that concrete, either at application or down the road, that can and often do lead to failure.

Two problems to consider:

Moisture movement in concrete, both short term and long term, always occurs. Always. Not sometimes. Always. What are the impacts of that movement on performance of whatever you put on the concrete now and in the future?

The problem of moisture movement in concrete is not well understood in the industry. Because of this, there is a reliance on the myriad solutions to fix it after the concrete is poured and a problem is discovered or anticipated. Therein lies the second problem- reliance on the ability to fix post pour.

It is understood that the fix comes with two of its own critical issues – added construction time and $$$ associated with the remedy- two things no project ever has enough of.

Simple solution.

The solution to these problems is in the concrete, not on it. The solution is quite simple and applies to any concrete application. It’s only the technical discussion around the solution that’s a little complex, but we make it understandable.

Barrier One PIA. Barrier One CSXtreme. The only scientifically proven porosity inhibiting admixtures on the market. Solutions built into the pour. Not an afterthought.

We really do need to talk.
